Dancing with the Djinn

My understanding of the Djinn is one from the Western world of entertainment. Stories and movies about genies in lamps, flying carpets and the granting of three wishes. Mythical creatures that captured the imagination of children. Until several months ago ...

I had a client come see me about her life and physical struggles she was dealing with.

As a shamanic practitioner, as with all clients, I used my journey skills to access information from the spirit world. What I was received from Spirit was there seemed to be a powerful curse present that somehow was connected with the Djinn.

This would be my first exploration into this hidden world of these powerful beings called the Djinn. Beings with the ability to effect our physical world in all sorts of ways, both positively and negatively, without our knowing.

My immediate concern was how to tell my client about this information.

As with all my dealings with Spirit I have come to the point in my process that the information I receive is for the person in front of me and whether or not I understand it doesn't matter I am just the go-between ... so I asked her if she knew who / what the Djinn are.

To my utter surprise, she straighten up, as if she was taken back and then told me not only did she know of the Djinn but also knew when, where, and why the curse was directed at her.

Two things happened here, validation for myself and for her.

Thus started my dance with the Djinn as I begin to explore a world that is/was unknown to me.
