Walking the Stones ...

As I was hiking through the woods on a rainy day wearing untested advertised water proof boots and came up upon a rocky semi submerged trail. I tried to dance my way around the side but quickly decided to just step into the streaming water carefully choosing which rocks to step on to keep somewhat above the water but not always. I called it ‘Walking the Stones’ at the time. Just relaxing and have my focused attention lead my way.

Daily hikes in the woods has become my main endeavor of achieving integration with the fallout of my plant spirit medicine work with the mushrooms.

As it turns out these PSM ceremonies tend to have an ongoing effect on the individual that can be carried over time from a day to several years. Not something I had focused in on as I started this process. I now find myself living more of a introverted life which is allowing me to identify different aspects of my medicines integration from the obvious to the ethereal.

My unplanned Pilgrimage to Ireland would truly become 'walking the stones' on Crough Patrick. While surfing the net I saw an ad for a walking adventure across Ireland. What a way to be in Ireland I thought. A reconstruction of a anicent pilgrimage walked by St. Patrick himself thousands of years old that fell out of 'vogue' until only one day a year would be recogniced which is the 3rd Sunday in July pilgrims will walk up the mountain in an act of faith.


This adventure would become the turning point in my life. It has been nearly 50 years that I been carrying a burden of grief which I could not access. Well that door openned ...
